Aargh! There's humor and horror and edge-of-my-seat suspense. Why go back to the scene of the crime in that condition? Loved how the wine changed the guilty assassin into James Bond. Lol.

Thanks for the review, Helen. Charles seems to have gone barking mad! Poor chap. I wonder what the morrow will bring.

Fortunately, still some SIXES left. Such a descriptive chapter. I could almost smell Charles myself, pew! You do a good job of conveying de Pari to us. I wonder if you actually spent some time there yourself in real life. I forget how "young" you are? Did you spend time in Europe during WWII?

I?m a bit young for WWII - a war baby, born in 1943.
I was in Paris for a week last July refreshing my memory of previous visits.

My brother who passed in 2009 just prior to his 66th birthday was born Jan 16 1943. Blamed the Government for his Chest Cavity Cancer from smoking.

Great writing. I was worrying for your character most of the way. Fancy going back to the scene! I know you were drunk but what were you thinking? Nothing to suggest.

Thanks, Judy, both for your review and for the extra star. Much appreciated! Charles does seem to have made a nonsensical decision here. I hope he isn?t made to pay too great a price for his folly.
Congratulations on your placing inn the reviewing contest. Well deserved. Best wishes, Tony.
