In spite of his stubbornness as a child and all of his infirmities, Beethoven came out a champion, one the world will appreciate for his gift as a brilliant composer
You got it in the order that is required which is a certain amount of syllables per line.
Good luck with your poem, a lot of work was put into it.

I remember so hard in high school to appreciate classical music, including Beethoven. It's not that I still don't listen to classical, but it isn't my first choice. It is impossible to Beethoven's genius. I give myself credit for at least understanding this. Very nice poem about a Classical music legend.

Thanks, victor66. And I'm glad you took something of Beethoven from your youth into your adulthood!

I should have re-read my review before sending. I believe I meant to write was, "It is impossible to deny Beethoven's genius". You are welcome.
-
Not to worry; I totally knew what you meant.

It's nice that you've incorporated some facts about Beethoven's life. He really was a genius and has left us the most wonderful legacy. Good luck in the contest.

You've filled all the requirements for an "odds and evens entry" in this contest. The subject is a very worthy, a deaf musician, it's like a blind artist, a handless craftsman, well done, an excellent entry in this contest, good luck, blessings, Roy

You are exactly right about that, Livelylinda. And he rose up and honored his gift, despite all the tortures that were unleashed upon him. Pretty amazing.

A nice poem incorporating Beethoven into this unique format. I've never heard of an even all odds poem before but it does look very effective. I also liked that you picked out the key parts of Beethoven's personality and eccentricities which helped to make his work so much brighter and unique. Good luck x

Really, Hayley - KEY parts. hahahahah :)
Thank you for this thoughtful review. Like you, I'd never heard of an even/odds poem structure before, either, but I loved the challenge of it. You're very creative; I bet you'd be great at it.

Thank you, I may have a bash at it haha. You did a great job x

It seems being a genius goes together with mental illnesses very often.
Beethoven was a great composer, pity he became deaf.
Thanks for sharing this lovely poem.

I agree with you, Maria; there is a very fine line between creative genius and tortured soul. I wonder if that's what prevents many parents from wanting their children to enter show business.
Thanks for your insightful review. I appreciate it very much.

A well written poem for entry into the contest. Good use of color. The artwork is complimentary however it is not a clear image and is difficult to see. I enjoyed the read.
