Good story under the rules of the prompt. Couldn't decide if the ending meant that she saw the vase and all its cracks, or if she put in the flowers and broke it.

But you could make money by making a new game....the vase puzzle...replete with a timer so you did before mom gets home

Well written short story and the final line was the kicker. What happened? Irony, coincidence, who would think she would bring flowers home on the day he breaks the vase? You did a good job. Best of luck with the contest.

LOL well i guess he didn't quite get away with it. This was an engaging story that flowed well. The ending was great - gave me a smile
