Good luck Yvette in the Pick a title from the list provided contest. This was very entertaining and enjoyable to read. I like the way the concept of the story, using the ribbons to mark trees that would not be cut matched the picture. You were indeed lucky to create this delight and find an ideal picture.

So glad you enjoyed this one, ma'am -- hadn't even planned on entering but when I was scanning that list of topics from which to choose, this one just said: YEAH! ;) ;) So, thanx for dropping in on my teacher 'interlude' for the evening! ;) ;) Yvette

Hi, Yvette,
This is a wonderful entry for the contest. Your angle on 'cut the chord,' is much different than I think most folks would be led.
Your writing was clear and concise and it appears you followed all the rules - GOOD LUCK to you!

This is cute, Yvette. I enjoyed reading your whimsical tale and think it is adorable that she wants to save all the trees. A very tender hearted write. I am glad the Dad has a sense of humor. Well done and good luck.

LOL! I LOVED this -- very witty, my brilliant friend, and it has me smiling ear-to-ear. What a lovely story, and your characters are Aces, even the baby coons. "Whimper."
I bet this isn't the cord most who choose this title will write about, but it's the best, IMO. :))

Oh, hooray! I'm so glad you enjoyed this! ;) ;) You know, I really didn't have time to do this, but I was scanning that list of topics from which to choose, and this one just said: YEAH - do it! ;) ;) So, this was a teacher's grading 'interlude' - LOL! ;) ;) Thanx for those bright shiny stars there! ;) ;) Yvette

Oh good! I'm glad you're pleased!

Good choice and creative way to use it. I love that her father understands why she can't cut all those trees. Where are the little critters going to live if she destroys their homes? I'm with her! :)

This was a fun read and it contained just enough suspense to make it have a smile creating ending. I enjoyed reading it and wish you the best in the contest. Patricia

I guess it's alright in some forests to still cut wood? I think the texting back and forth makes it realistic in today's world but I wasn't quite sure who said, "Not quite there yet. "
Good entry and best to you in the contest, Yvette!

Well I like where your title took you. I love Mikaela. What a great character. Her dad's not so bad either. He seems to respect his daughter's respect for nature.
Your characterization is what is good in this one. The message is nice as well though.
Good luck in this contests. Some of those titles are interesting. I would have picked you to be a Black Cadillac girl.

Hey, MQ - glad you enjoyed this one -- you know, I really didn't even have the time to enter this one but when I was scanning that list of topics from which to choose, this one just said: YEAH! ;) ;) You know me - addicted, I suppose, to 'making stuff up'. :) ;) ;) LOL! :) Thanx for dropping in and have a great week ahead! ;) ;)

When I saw that prompt, I even looked to see if you started it. Seemed like the kind of thing that you would do. It was more interesting than usual. I opted for the mono stitch--the shorter choice.

Okay - first, thank you so very much for those wonderful stars....I really didn't have the time for this, but when I was scanning that list of topics from which to choose, this one just said: YEAH! ;) ;) LOL! :) So glad you enjoyed! ;) ;) Second, I have to know: in the dream was I the good guy or the bad guy....or do I actually WANT to know...? :) ;) Thanx for the smiles, Lady Suz -- you are awesome! ;) ;) Yvette

Okay... the dream was just an average everyday thing... I was walking down a sidewalk in a place I didn't recognize. I saw you on the street and said, "Yvette?" you said, "Yes... do I know you?" I said, "Yes... and no... susand3022..." you were all surprised and we laughed... and hugged and said Hi again... like friends would... lol I asked if you were busy and you weren't. It turned out to be a good thing, apparently I was headed to meet Fonda IRL for the first time at some little lunch place down the street so you agreed to join... I woke up before we got there though... a good dream! Fonda wonders if it was a forshadowing thing! LOL

Nice, cute and funny - all the things you would expect from a contest entry for something from Ms. Y.M. Roger. A lovely one at that. I picture the entire forest with lovely little ribbons scattered all throughout. These are so fun, and they are the hardest ones for me to try to do. I really enjoyed reading it. Also, I got super excited thinking it might be another chapter, but no... So I go to work thinking that maybe, just maybe when I get off there might be something special waiting - huh? LOL - Begging? So invested in that story. Also, it helps with the hand recovery - does guilt work? Good luck with another contest! LOL - Cheers, Fonda

No, no chapter, Beautiful Lady -- this was a quick 25 minute one! ;) Minutes that I took that I didn't really have - would have been less but, as usual, had to cut it down! You know, I feel like Billy Joel's THE ENTERTAINER so many times here when he sings of "If you're gonna have a hit, you gotta make it fit, so they cut it down to 3:05" -- I am constantly having to cut a write to fit some max word count! ;) ;) :) Promise to try to have the next read out by Wednesday...take care over there! ;) ;) Yvette
