This is a lovely tribute to Michael and his memory. He will definitely be missed here on FS. As you put your exceptional talent to use, you draw all of us into a literary moment of silence as we say goodbye with you. Very beautifully done.

Thank you for writing this beautiful tribute to Michael. I know he is smiling down on this poem. He was a friend and great encouragement. I always looked forward to his reviews. I always knew them to be honest, fair, and encouraging.

Recently I lost my mom and this really touched me. I like "Now heaven has another scribe." You can sense the emotion and loss. Sorry for the loss of your friend.

Nicely said, Dean. To be remembered and cherished is a treasure indeed, and in this regard, Michael Cahill died a very rich man. He was most generous with advice and made a difference in the lives of many people, as is evidenced by the tributes which continue to pour in.

What a beautiful tribute to Michael. Your third stanza is especially poignant. While I did not know him, I can tell by the poetry that is coming forth from you and others that he was very well liked and respected.
My best to you.

Hi, Dean,
I think so many of us are still in shock about Mike's death - it is just strange. I have no idea of how to write what I feel inside. I think it is largely because though I know all of you are REAL people - you all live in the part of my brain where my characters live.
How could Mikey be gone? I didn't have that in the outline of the book,

This is such a beautiful tribute, Dean! I'm so glad that you got to know Michael and shared that deep friendship. Your words cover it all to express the grieving that others are going through here.

This is a touching and lovely tribute to your friend, Dean. Image is beautiful. You and I focused on the same theme here:
"Now heaven has another precious scribe,"
God bless him.
