You gave such a glowing tribute to him by your words. What happened to him and what type of illness did he have and why no one told the fan story members. How did you find out. I am so sorry you heard this way, my friend. No one knows what his illness was, but it was short. He seemed to rally, and there was a lot of hope he would pull through. The next thing we knew, Tom put the news out on the front page to say he'd died. We are all in shock. I'll go and read yours. Thank you for giving mine a 6, that extra star will always be remembered by me as Mikey, a star shining brightly in Heaven. xxxxx

It is amazing to see just how many people Michael's life touched. I think it is a great monument to him - FanStory and the community he was such a big part of every day.

I think everyone's still in shock. I expected him to recover and be back on FS. I found out this morning that another friend, locally, died in the wee hours of the morning.

I am so sorry, Yvonne. We seem to be at a stage in our lives where we are losing more family and friends. It's sad and scary. Yes, I thought he'd be back when he seemed to improve. I can't imagine how his poor wife feels. xxx

Ah Sandra, this is such a sweet message and so true. He was one of a kind. I was stunned when I opened up yesterday and saw the single burning candle and the message. It must have been very sudden as he was posting in December.....So Sad.
Don't know if he was ill? He did say he was not posting so much - who knows!!!!!

I don't know what the cause was, but, like you, I think it had to be something sudden. A Stroke, or heart-attack, perhaps. Sometimes we never know the reason. He was a kind man, and will be missed here. Thanks, Dorothy. Don't forget the phone!! :)) Sandra xxx
