A great haiku. It fits the photo well. I wish you much success with your new poetry book. This is well written. I enjoyed this poem. I hope to read more of your writing soon.

Thank you for the kind words.
Soirry, the profile words are somewhat out of date - the book came out about this time last year - and more with a whimper than a bang. I'm now working on my second, Forty-Four Fabulous Funnies.

We've all seen that sight on many an occasion...frightening in some ways, but beautiful in others, especially when indoors! Very nice 5-7-5, and could easily signify the trials and battles of life. Keep up the good writing!

Thanks, Marc. I thought it made a good metaphor for the world today.

Powerful descriptive piece.
Accompanied well by your chosen picture.
The writers tone is ominous that balances well with the piece.
You have met the prerequisite of the piece.
Good luck in the contests.

Nice, graphic and the picture fits the words well. Now to fill the required page. I saw no errors and the words are well chosen. Not just run of the mill. Blessings, Barbara

I like this brief but powerfully descriptive poem of the storm. The simple "Hush" followed by a period gives us that feeling of the calm before the storm and the "dark battalions" is very dramatic ending with the "deluge."
