This is so weird I just had to give it a six. Only you could come up with such a powerful yet silly tale of horror. Never thought of you in that genre, but you had me at walling up the cat! :)

Thanks, Phyllis. Saw a putty knife in my tool box yesterday.

You have to be really dedicated to killing someone body with a putty knife. The twist in the end shows there js no perfect crime. If I had a six star left you'd have earned it. Good luck in the contest.

Thanks, G. I guess if I had a free lance, I would be coming from an Arthurian BOGO sale of used sporting goods.

That was such a hilarious horror story, which I thoroughly enjoyed! I felt for the writer, so many have that problem while struggling to write. But, thankfully, not many resort to killing the lodger and his friends. I loved the ending, he's on the electric chair for killing his neighbours car and plastering him in the wall!! LOL. Not funny really! Well done, Bill, and good luck in the contest. :) Sandra xx

Just loved the progression from having a friend live with him to help out with expenses, to sell in typewriter, to walling up the cat, to finally losing it, and killing his noisy friends, to finally making it to best seller status, in the electric chair. Most imaginative post Bill, creatively good, well done, good luck, blessings, Roy

This story is PERFECT. It is the best flash fiction that I have read in a long time. It is hilarious and surely must win the competition. You have really nailed it with this one. Good luck and best wishes. Jen.

this great Bill. I have been reading since I was 4 &1/2. I estimate I have read 11,458,331 sentences. but I've never read this before: "He picked up a putty knife he had been using to seal the neighbor's cat in the wall, and stabbed at Mick's throat. Thank You. ......................meeshu

This realy embodies what a flash fiction piece should be and do. The twist at the end and a writer becoming mad at the sight of a blank page with a deadline coming fast.
This rating does not count towards story rating or author rank.
The highest and the lowest rating are not included in calculations.
