Your words captures autumn beautifully. I read your poem multiple times to get its full impact. Your poem flows smoothly, and is true to form, and abides by the rules. The picture you chose compliments your poem. Good luck.

Beautifully penned... the picture is exquisite.. and Autumn, is by far, my favorite season.. the one in which I was born.. your ending sentence "Jack Frost rejoices" is lovely... I love the personification, of winter feeling 'joy' with the approaching winter frost... lovely..

This creative 5-7-5 makes the reader "welcome" Autumn. The images and word choice are effective. Stunning art work, tells the story even without words.

Good job, Mystery Author, with your contest entry. Your picture choice + well-chosen words make a great pairing. Your syllable count is correct per line. I like how you personified Autumn and Jack Frost. Thanks for sharing. Best wishes. Jan

I don't know . . . a little too obvious for me. It's not the language, which is sharp. It's certainly not the picture. Although I believe you did not give it justice. There's something subliminally creepy about this snapshot. What was it once an add for, because no one is getting that snap on vacation or for a brief pose. It is a professional shot maybe selling that hideous autumn-colored long scarf. Or it's a Wicca or fairy-religion recruitment add. It's just for some S & M club or European brothel. Something a little more pointed could make this terrific. Good luck, and remember--my thinking is only one way. It was you who put this piece up for judgment.

The leaves are falling for autumn is saying her last goodbyes. It's a very good way to pen a farewell. Jack Frost is the villain in the poem as he freezes everything with his cold touch. This is a good 5-7-5 entry for the Ole To Autumn contest.
