Very funny! Neither of them is much interested in doing any actual labor this Labor Day. Hey, I think I'm re-tired too. I know I've been tired before so I guess I just re-tire and re-tire.

You got my full attention rhonnie69
about the conversation between husband and wife talking about getting a part job, even if he is
re-tired
Must be read, especially, the punch line at the end of the joke Gert

Cheers, Ronnie;
>You capture the essence in your enjambment in context the very essence of a typical conversation between a wife and her, lazy good for nothing stand around sit down and do as much is not possible, husband.
>I have because I knew of the outcome but the way you did it made it much funnier.
>"all day,(comma) every day
>Thank you for sharing, Ronnie, take care and have a good one especially because you just may deserve it.

Dialogue a plenty, yet, the work has to be done...by whom? Good idea for sharing, so bringing it to the attention only highlights the cause.
Fun to read. Message delivered.
My best wishes.

An interesting story holding many captivating aspects I found appealing to my interests. A slight revision might help this write flow. All in my opinion of this write.

I had to smile at this one. The hubby sounds like my family lol. It is amazing how going slow makes them move faster lol. Great script in a poem. Thank you for sharing and take care.

Once a spouse retires, the couple tend to get under eachother, and not in a good way. More than likely, she was hinting, he get a job. Great imagery, and true to life, easy to relate to. Especially to we who are retired. Thanks for the laugh.

-Nice image.
-Your note is appreciated.
-I like your sense of humor
for labor day; a refreshing
and different approach.
-Obviously, the husband and
wife have different ideas,
but I think she got her
message across better!
-Thanks for sharing, rhonnie69.

Clever and totally unfair to us men. Hehe.
In ths day and age we should be asking why she isn't looking for work rather than pushing him at it. Or would that be sexist? LOL.
Nice work Rhonnie.

Nice conversation about retirement. How it can be boring and not what a couple things it could be. I like the wife threatening retirement from her duties. That means the husband would have to cook and clean for himself. That got him moving. This threat wouldn't work for me because my husband does most of the cooking.
