You may not be able to see him, but he watches over you. Every day you spent together was a blessing, every fish you caught together brought joy. My love and care across the miles at this time Dean.

Thank you very much for reading, Caroline, and for the six stars as well.
Sorry for the delay in responding.
With my dad passing away recently I've fallen a bit behind.
It's not that I don't appreciate your input because I do.
It's just been a little crazy around here lately.
Thanks so much again.

Grieving takes up time and space. I hope you are taking care of yourself. Caroline

Hi Dean,
I'm so sorry to hear of your loss, and the grief I know you've gone through in the years leading up to this point. It's a long goodbye, is my way of looking at it. Your father is at peace now, and his passing has brought him to a better place - it's no good wasting away to a shell of the former self - which my mother is now.
Your poem is very moving. You express very well, with graceful words, the greatest gift of all - unconditional love.

RIP and love and prayers for your family. Such a sweet poetic tribute...with the rich wealth of insight and heart-fullness. The greatest poverty is a closed heart, and the greatest wealth is a full one...and even greater still is helping to fill the hearts of others. Your dad sounds like a hero for sure...and I believe it runs in the family...
Blessings and Love,

Thank you very much for this tribute to your dad, who gave you far more than any amount of money could ever equal. You shared a valuable insight, and I express sympathy for your loss.

Great tribute for your father
I will say some prayers now for his soul
Life filled with many turns and stages
Now are finding the reward that never ends
God bless your dreasms
The fiond memories now playing
As the year progresses
Find the reality of closeness

Beautiful tribute to your dad, Dean. I like that personal conversation you had with your dad as shown in the poem. For someone with such a work ethic, it may be hard for that generation of parent to understand our need to write poems.

I can not imagine a more beautiful tribute than this poem to your Dad, from his very gifted son! The words flow and are imbued with love throughout the poem. The end rhyme is excellent, but the last stanza Just brings tears to my eyes about "True riches, I now know
aren't all the things we've had. It's having a true hero, someone just like my Dad." Being trained in music, The video, with lovely pictures put to music, had me thinking, there is one proud angel looking down on his son!
I'm so sorry for your deep loss, Dean.
