You always finish with a soft touch, a touch of delicacy, and that keeps all things optimistic.
Bravo.
Lovely write.
Have a beautiful day.

Oh yes how very true - our time and our life span on our life journey are so short 'How precarious'-well portrayed here within the strict confines of the Short poem

Excellent message portrayed in such few words. It is so true that we are all but precarious collections of dust as will return to that state.
Best of luck in the contest

Hello,
Your short poem made me feel the potential a person has well as the frailty of the human being.
Each day is such a gift. Yet we , at times, take such an experience for granted.
Your last line. "Ashes in the wind..." really impacted me. In my mind I envisioned an urn being emptied of its ashes, perhaps on a beach or off the bow of a ship just being carried off by the breeze 'in the wind...'
Really powerful words and strong message as well.

I love how you say so much with so few words. The line "Ashes in the wind is beautiful. I enjoyed the allusion to the fragility of life and the intranscience of everything.

I really like this four line poem which is a sage aphorism, too.
Clever use of two similar-sounding words--"precious" and "precarious."
A strong entry in this contest. Good luck! Rod

The picture is so sad. Makes me wonder how the birdie got speared like that? The way the little legs just hang down like that makes me feel like crying. You have exactly twenty syllables there when I count them on my fingers. I remember my grade one teacher forbid us to use our fingers for math, so I think of her when I'm being a rule breaker and counting with my fingers :) I like your first two lines the best. Best wishes to you in this contest.

So true - we are but dust blown away by the next strong wind. If we do manage to make an impression, let's hope it's a good one that will last the test of time. Very nice entry for the contest.
