Barbara, this feels like a classic romance that reminds me of many mismatched pairs in culture and history. I sensed Shana's hesitancy:
Anderson opened the box, revealing two pearl and diamond earrings.
Shana's hand covered her mouth. "They're gorgeous, but I can't accept them."
Class gets in the way if this couple getting together.
"I'm middle class and you're high class."
Also, religion.
The reader cheers this couple on and wonder how or when they will get together. This is compelling writing.
Thank you for sharing.

It looks like Shana and Anderson are "connecting" a mutual attraction is materialising, except Shana is the one who the "fly in the ointment", and Anderson shows all the frustration of one not understanding certain "barriers"...at least in the mind of Shana, well done, excellent job, blessings, Barbara, Roy
Typo : I can't believe this (is) me. 2: "Sorry(,) Shana,

There is no need to ask for forgiveness when this is so beautifully written. There are tears in my eyes from the way he proffered the earrings. This is simply a lovely post and continues the saga wonderfully. Well done and thank you very much for sharing it.

We will pray as you have asked. Another great chapter. Hoping they can get around their differences. Now some spags. Either "I hear(d a) rumor dinner will be served
OR
"I hear (a)rumor dinner will be served
"She shouldn't have to[o]."

I have made the corrections. I am always nervous about my first few reviews because I see all the stupid mistakes I've made. Thank you.
