"Just remember" these words say as much as the poem, what a bitter sweet write, with that the beauty of poetry give a picture of love going on are as here gone, excellent write.

I enjoyed reading your poem "The Big D". It is a sad subject, but you rhymed it well as you told your story. My brother went through it and it does effect us all.

Be grateful for the memories and if possible keep them free of bitterness.
I actually loved this. I would however change the name to Remember.
In the second verse, I'd also change 'every day' to 'each day.'
Adored the first verse.

Truly divorce is so very difficult on many many levels. All loss is hard to wrap our minds and hearts around at times.
I pray he heals and becomes stronger from the journey.

I guess its more painful for those who are in love and try to make it work and can't for outside reasons. It seems worse if they can never again be friends. It may be true
there is nothing left but remembering and it is tragic.
