Thanks new friend. Have to see if you have written some stuff I tried to find you before with no luck. This was a split off chapter of the larger other one that I added some new pictures too over there (previous chapter) and I added comment and picturues to this one yesterday. Cheers appreciate the lovely review.

wow i think you lived in a very bad part of town that seemed to draw trouble and heartache. But you are a strong person to persevere through and find a good side to everything

It is always fascinating to me to read and be reminded how people are always the same everywhere. I've had some great neighbors and also some real ringers. What is whipper-snipper*"? I wonder if it is what we in America, call a wee- wacker. I have only had a few things stolen, even though a few times in life I've lived in some questionable neighborhoods. Once, a garden hose I had just purchased with sprinkler and set up watering the yard, and once my dirty mop I set out the back door to dry. Can't understand why anyone would want it.

Thanks Sis Whipper Snippet is a nylon string lawn edger. Appreciate the lovely review. You might have read this in the chapter before that was larger. Still need to add some photos.
Comment from Sasha
This is a little different than the first time I read it. I have had good neighbors and bad neighbors too. Sadly, you don't really get to choose who will live next door to you. Sounds like you handled it all very well. I found this very interesting. Do people really criticize your Australian English? How rude, if they in fact do. You shouldn't have to say any more than 'this is written in Australian English', nothing more and definitely no apologies for it either.

Hi Sasha, Thanks for the lovely review. Much appreciated. I am hoping the Fs'er that suggested I split the chapter will come by and look at the new set up soon. I think the fact you live in Mexico makes you more tolerant of other languages as well, mate. Thanks again.

Americans are more tolerant than you think. Many writers on this site are from England, Scotland, Ireland, Australia and other places where English is spoken and written differently. Ignore those that criticize. Just tell them you are Australian and that is the style you write it.

Sometimes neighbors are the cream of the crop. Other times they are the weeds that needed to be pulled. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a good read.

Thanks Bro I am pretty sure you would have read that poem I added a long time ago thought it would be a good addition to the chapter.
Comment from Sandra du Plessis
A very well-written story. It is very awkward to have bad vibes with the neighbors. My motto is also to be on good relations without being too familiar, that is usually when things start to go wrong.
