Great artwork that complements your poem perfectly. I don't think it is your doppelganger taking over, but you seem to have two sides. The poem is awesome, but has a dark site to eat hearts etc.

A very well-written sad poem. There are many things that can scare us or made us afraid. Afraid to not be able to walk or run when danger chase you.

Was the one mumbling still the Mother or the She-ghost? Sorry if I seem dense, but I'm truly not sure, and I read it more than 3 times. Eerie...I enjoyed it.

I'm talking to a third person. I'm thre beginning asked if he was scared. I talk about already having eaten mothers heart and I'm afraid that she's going to make me est it

Related to the mmumble he was obviously in a bed next to me.

The mumbling was wondering about my friend.

Hope this helps and I appreciate your review

Jeni smoker's like Bran stoker
she just loves to scare
Its like a game of playing poker
You don't know if her heart is there

I think you know just what I mean
Luna's some LUNAtic
She is horror in every scene
She makes her scaremongering stick

I love the way she eats those hearts
I know she has them for dinner
I'll tell you when the banquet starts
Make every heart a winner

MERRY XMAS JENI

indeed, your lighthearted poems are a very welcome turn but you also master the thriller/horror section dear jeni! this piece of poetry is rather gory and fearless.
thank you for sharing!

Your words flowed well line to line combining well and forming the message of the poem for the reader. Well done. The artwork and background color completed it well.

I say allow your doppelganger to continue her writing and may the critics be damned, Luna! I kinda enjoy it when you decide to delve into darkness, LOL.
To appease Huehueteotl, the fire god and a senior deity, the Aztecs had a ceremony where they prepared a large feast, at the end of which they would burn captives; before they died they would be taken from the fire and their hearts would be cut out. Motolinia and Sahagun reported that the Aztecs believed that if they did not placate Huehueteotl, a plague of fire would strike their city. The sacrifice was considered an offering to the deity. Many of the ancient Aztec rituals centered on human sacrifice and the removal of the heart from the victims, or sacrificial lambs, if you prefer.
Nice, right?

Creepy stuff, my poetic fiend friend.

Dear Luna,

For this poem you must have taken cues from the Aztecs. For they enjoyed eating the hearts of their captives. Or maybe from the Cannibals on Borneo. Who knows?
