Interesting: He never came close to answering her question.
I feel Maria's concern deeply. I feel acutely the congressman's air of superiority. The characters are clearly at odds.
The issues? Can't discuss them because that's not what the rules say to do. But as to the story and characters, there are flaws in the Congressman's logic.
I see no technical issues.

Well done. I don't believe anyone wants to deport those who were brought here as children, not even Trump. It would be cruel beyond belief to send them to a foreign country they have no memory or knowledge of. These are Obama's dreamers, and giving them amnesty is the one thing he did right, I think.

hi. A well written piece of political writing. I could find no SPAG or anything that looked out of place.
It is a timely piece of writing.
may all of this end in compassion and end well.

Excellent script showing both sides of the coin. If the laws had been enforced after Reagan 's amnesty we wouldn't have this problem.
Well done.

Hard to believe that such a group would listen to anyone without
turning the gathering into a screeching riot. So many immigrants work hard to turn this land into what they ran away from...it's
gone way too far to fix without pain. Excellent script.

Excellent point of view. That was my first thought If she had time to accomplish all of these things why didn't take the time to work on getting her citizenship? Trump isn't even President except he has already filled the void of Obama.

Now, if it would really work this way and the dreamers could get help without being deported first that would be ideal.
Your scene is very well written and easy to follow.
Very realistic.

You write such interesting, timely scripts. He made a great response to Maria's question.
It bothers me that Joylene cut in line.I have the feeling she's going to be pushy and mouthy.
would give (my) life
The government (didn't) grab your hand

That was very well written and the answer to the lady's question was honest and an excellent one too. It's a shame everyone isn't brought up with those values. I enjoyed that it made a lot of good sense. Well done. :) Sandra xx

In this excellent script, the Congressman and former Prosecutor, with plausible dialog, makes a good case for acting responsibly, and in the process, without formally stating it, calmly wins his greater case over fear-mongering Democrats by showing that at least some Republicans have compassion for undocumented but loyal and hard-working residents of this country, especially those who have committed no crime and have developed employable skills. Well done.
