This is a fun story that reminded me of playing with the waterhose as a child. The play and tricks between children and father is vivid and delightful. You end on a positive moral, "The wetter the better, with such hot weather!"

Spag here "attach�©s" instead of "attaches." Always read your writing after you post to confirm everything turned out alright.

"Fathers" and "Dads" needs an apostrophe.

Great story! I just had two suggestions:
First, near the beginning of the story, this is what the reader sees: attach�©s. I come across that problem myself with work I add to this site. Also, "What the heck!", Daddy says. Since you have an exclamation point, you don't need a comma right after.

I can remember as a child running through the sprinkler to alleviate the sheer heat of the day, bipod it was fun! As your little joke played out on dad, how hilarious is that, you've had fun at the cost of playing a joke on dad, well done, Ine, great memory building article, for the record.
