We've been to Stonehenge, preceded by Salisbury and Lands End, beautiful area, although a most interesting spot was the once thriving forerunner to Salisbury, Old Sarum, which dates back to 3000BC existed in Roman and Norman times. Well done, just love the varying form of this poetic style, with its one liners and three line refrains, quatrained verses, beautiful and skilful adaptive language Carol, great affect to the work. I read this twice. After I read the notes, I got so much more out of it. The notes were essential for me to understand the story, but the mere cadence of your words was an initial pleasure.
I wish I had a six left. This certainly deserves one ... or two.

Thanks, Ellen. I end up reading a lot before I write these, and I know the notes help for background info. I hope the feel can carry the poem, even without notes...
