This is exquisite. Not only is the presentation gorgeous, the haiku itself evokes beautiful imagery and the satori is precious! Perfection, IMHO, and it's a form I love. Best of luck in the contest.

Very good entry for this contest, and one of the few that really addresses nature. My only suggestion is that that the title should not have caps, otherwise love everything about this haiku. Especially, the satori line - "early bird special"

Elegant haiku, yes, I agree the best view of dawn is the first morning light and one must wake up early to see that. Otherwise the moment will be lost with every minute of delay. Excellent write.

Excellent entry for this contest. The first two lines really give a mental picture of the beautiful rays on lake and third one a satori. Wonderful picture complements the poem. All the best

Wow - to promote so amazingly highly, you'll sure get lots of interest.
I prefer haiku to be presented simply, rather than with italics and fancy inclusive artwork, but it's certainly eye-catching.
I suspect this entry will contend strongly.

Very good grammatical connection
and excellent concrete imagery with morning light
rays and lake

Your word picture brought a smile to my face. The scene could be right outside my window. Lots of lakes near by and many migrating birds come here and seem to stay. Best to you with the entry.
