people always make promises to get the people to do their bidding. Knowing damn good and well they have no intention in keeping them in the first place.

Well penned lines that capture the spiritual warfare swirling all around us -- felt but not always seen. Right now I think I need a break from the political scene. Line five -- shouldn't that be lying instead of lieing?

This stream-of-consciousness poem, Promises, seems to cover a lot of ground. Most seems to concern relationships with all kinds of people that are built over a definite dune of mistrust. Daunting read when looking for cohesive data.

Well done.
Your title says it all "Promises." How many promises are things said but not done?
In your writing promises develop from a relationship to God. The promise of an enduring relationship, but something went wrong. Is there trust that the promises of God will be true? But, even with the promises of God, many people take on the thoughts of God.
Well done.

The most serious of mankind's offences:
with the promises of God, many people take on the thoughts of God. Great insight with deep feelings. Touched. Thanking you for generous rate and delighting conveyances.
