Yes sir! This one was better than the espresso I have been sipping on! The scream at the end lifted be high from my seat. My blood is flowing nicely and my energy level's elevated. Masterfully(creepily)crafted my friend!
God bless!

"The family that's slayed together stays together ... hee-hee!" Only Dean Kuch's mind runs in those channels. Now I can go clean my chair. Thanks for another fine story. :-)

Dean;
-this has curdled my blood when I heard the scream. The timing is everything and usually put this to the test. The background music of someone sing a lullaby song was terrifying to me when I found out knowing that the wife is never been in the room in the first place.
-Knowing something is going to happen and then Waiting for it to happen are two different things and creates for good writing.
-Exceptionally written piece of work Dean.
-The composition and the pictures were relative and complementary to each other.
-Thank you for sharing and posting and may the good Lord be with you always.

Hah-hah...Got 'cha, Alex, LOL...
Thanks so much for your continued support of these Tiny Tales of Terror. Myself, along with all of the other authors who have graciously submitted stories of their own, certainly do appreciate it. They wouldn't be a success without the kind support of readers just like you!
I'm really pleased that you enjoyed this one, and your glowing review and six stars are just the icing on an already sweet cake.
Thanks so much again, my friend.
Pleasant screams!

Hell, this was so creepy - my mind was fixed on
the voice singing the lullaby and the words of
the story weren't penetrating my mind, so when
the singing stopped with a shriek, I had to start
reading from the beginning - Yikes!!
You're one creepy fellow, Dean.

Hahaha, so I've been told on more than one occasion, Margaret. In reality if you were to meet me on a busy street while walking my nine pound, eleven-year-old Chihuahua, Gidget, you'd never think I was capable of writing horror stories. If you and I were to hold an impromptu conversation in a crowded coffee house over a hot cup of tea, you would even be able to tell then. Only when I write do I allow all of the demons I keep walled-up deep inside of me come spilling out onto the page, unabashed.
Thanks so much for your kind review and rating. I appreciate it, as always.

I'm sure you're just a lovely normal fellow, Dean, but you sure know how to frighten me with your stories. Don't make them too shocking - I'm due to have stents in blocked arteries later this month and I want the surgeon to be able to find my pulse.
smile.

I'll do my best not to, Margaret. At least no one was disemboweled in this one, right? That's something to be thankful for. No buckets of blood, guts or gore for THIS guy, lol...

Weren't they though? That particular lullaby has always given me the heebie-jeebies, which is precisely why I decided to use it, Jenny.
Thanks for taking the time to read and comment. As always, I appreciate it.

Oh goodness, this was wonderful, the tension mounted and mounted and the old ticker started to go. I think when you encroach into the safe world of the children then you raise the suspense a bit more.
I enjoyed your terror tale.
Bless you

Scary stories involving kids always give me the greatest chills, John. And that's exactly why I utilize them quite often, especially in flash and micro fiction where you need maximum impact while utilizing very few words.
Thanks so much for your positive feedback and review. I certainly appreciate it.

The voice is his wife's voice. The car-minus one fender-is being returned by her lowlife brother who borrowed it...else some lonely ghost is volunteering to babysit...excellent spooky yarn.
