Very true words. I watch my Aunt take care of my ailing 90 year old grandfather. She is tired, not a spring chicken and has her own health problems, yet she keeps on trucking without a complaint.

My wife and I can totally relate to this as we have been the primary caregiver for my mother for the las 8.5 years. It can wear on you. Prayer indeed is necessary.

Precious unsung heroes....with no time for themselves...
It is a hard thing..families must bind together and not to leave it to one. Share the care,..well penned poem for alerting us

Your poem is true for caretakers. I like the way you described the caretaker. I know many would 'dump onions and beans into her soup.' Ok, that is not a direct quote, but close enough. I would change nothing. Good job ad good luck in the contest.
