Did you also dye it pink? I can see how that look would work for you. :) I'll bet you were a handful as s teenager. Even now, you chose the name SPITFIRE, warning everyone. LOL!

They actually have pink, blue and green dye now. No, I didn't go well until my daughter turned 15 and went punk on me. Fight fire with fire. :-)

Hi Shari,
I'm totally cracking up at the vision of you with spiked hair. What's next? A tattoo on the ass, hee hee. This one is very clever - took me a few minutes to get it.
Hugs,
Lou

Don't laugh. I've been thinking of getting one on my ankle. A butterfly perhaps?

You are too much! Did you hear about Joan Rivers dying? What a loss to the world.
-
Things happen in three. Lauren Bacall, Robin Williams and now Joan. Just waiting to hear it on ABC news.

I usually do better posting on my own. And in case you haven't noticed the price of entering a prompt is higher now. Guess Tom's wife wants an ermine coat for Christmas.
-
Hi. I tend not to enter prompts. I never do well and I would rather promote when I have money. Yup, noticed the extra cost..I thought it only when the prompt is 'watched' for rule breakers. But, a new spiffy winter coat may well be the case:-)
You write good stuff, I wish you could find a publisher.padumachitta

Ahhh this is a good one! I liked what it said, and the
picture just rocked the whole thing!
Too bad you didn't enter it in the humorous 5/7/5.

Thanks, Linda. I rarely win those dang prompts so only enter if they are not blind. Appreciate the encouragement though. :-)

I can imagine you being a bit wild in your youth, Shari, and maybe remaining so. The picture actually looks like you. :-)
I wish I had some hair left to spike.
Fun read.
Cheers, Ray xx

As a teen, I was straight as an arrow. Took my middle-age crises to turn me into a whacko. LOL

LOL. Better late than never. :-) xx

Hey, Shari, it's good to surprise the mirror once in a while. Shake up the routine. I few weeks ago I spent $12 to go from old hippie to retired Marine. Even my face didn't look familiar.
Get your spikes on girl. Give life a boot in the ass.
Peace, Lee

I used to wear spikes. Anymore, and I'd fall splat on my face.
Sounds as if you're going for the conservative but responsible look.

The new short spiked hairdos can look really cute on a lot of people and easy to care for. Try a different color for every spike. Ha. Clever poem and presented well with the right photo and colors.

Hadn't thought of that. Shame on you for giving me such delightfully wicked fashion advice. Ever see choreographer Sonia on So you thing you can dance? She's a trip to look at.

Nice one :)
I especially like the subtitle of "in truth, we both cracked up"
Are you inferring that the hair was so spiky, it cracked the mirror(hence the seven years of bad luck)?

You broke the mirror
that had stood the test of time
shattered to pieces
At least you can cause others to smile about it. Well done, Buck

Comment from OLA THOMAS
Short and sharp is this work; it delivered its message in brevity. Good back up art picture. The mirror is always there for reflective reasons.
