Sure was. I think my wife often missed his punch lines due to her hearing. Funny thing is our hearing has reversed now and I would probably miss the lines these days. Thanks again.

So pleasant to see all the Fan Story tributes to such a terrific actor, comedian and humanitarian. So sad that depression is such a horrible sickness and yet poo-pooed as nothing by the general population, and even some of the medical community. Thanks for writing and posting.

Yes Depression is not understood by a lot of people who have never been there. Be interesting to get into some of his history and find out about his childhood and so on thanks for your review.

This tribute to Robin Williams touches on my feelings about him. Those "big shoes" walked many miles. If depression was a factor in his death, he must have believed he was walking all alone and been out of touch with all of the love people felt for him. How sad. Your poem is well rhymed, words carefully chosen and just the right length to say the important things. Great Job!

Hi. A nice tribute to a super actor, a great wit and a troubled soul. He suffered depression as well as alcholism. He was a talented man. Many of us will miss him.
Thanks again for your poem.

Lovely tribute - he was gentle and generous person with his time and his guidance. I had heard before that he battled depression for quite a long time - this was prior to Jonathon Winters death so very long ago. It seems the most creative minds walk the thin line of sanity.

Thanks Jean for your kind words. I am honoured the respect I have been accorded for this simple tribute to a great actor whose movies I have enjoyed for years. Thanks again.

I only heard of his death after your tome. I too, feel so badly for a man that was so talented and could not control the demons that haunted him. It truly makes me reevaluate the path that I walk. Lovely of you to remember him. Jean

He was so popular Geoff, an amazing comedian, I never knew he suffered depression, or addiction, I believed he was a shining light among all the stars he was the stable one, but he will be sorely missed, one of my all time favourites! Well written, articulate, well expressed, much blessings, Roy.

I loved Robin Williams, or at least his work. We have his standup shows on DVD and listen to them all the time if we need a smile. He will be missed. Thanks for the great tribute.

A great tribute to Robin Williams. Your words say much about this great actor, with no doubt a big heart. So sad to lose such a great human being.

AMEn! Friend so true. Only thing I wonder about is where is he now? I am sad that someone with such wealth for some unknown reason became so depressed he took his life. We will miss him greatly probably get out some of our RW movies for the memories.
-
Yes very true, where is he now? Sometimes those who seem the happiest are no doubt the sadist.

Hi Sankey,
I'm still in shock and picking my jaw up off the floor. Such a talented man, to have such troubles as to end his life. So terribly sad.
Your tribute is nicely done.
Cheers & Blessings

Wonderfully written poem on such a talented actor who will be misled. I like the line he made such a mark, as he surely did. Great rhyme scheme. Great poem to show how he will me missed.
