Laughing out loud at this one!!! Poor man and what a shock that had to be for him when the hot spice met his hot bottom. Hope he got the help he needed and got some relief from a painful ccondition.

What a brilliant story, it reads well and flows like a good wine, I felt sorry For Howard anyway, but when he infused the fat and forgot about the chilli pepper, i lost all sympathy as I laughed.

A genuine funny, laugh out loud story with a classic story ending, save the best for last.
There's only one change I make:"Howard and his buddies had had a good day fishing." I would get rid of the second HAD because the reader knows what you mean and it sound awkward.
Anyway, this was a good piece of writing.

What an eventful and painful fishing trip.
It is quite odd how sometimes we laugh at the embarrassment and pain of others.
I'm sure this is one experience Howard won't forget in a hurry.
Howard he?
Recounted well and I feel deep compassion for him. An assault on this sensitive area with chilli peppered fat surely brought tears to his eyes and
acjte pain.

Sure did mate. Erin might like the laugh too if she gets to read it. Dear Junior as we all knew him (I was an Internet friend of his wife for years and she is now a friend on Face book too) is now in Glory so all his pain is gone. Long story about Junior and Rita and Kate were they the Cyclones they had in La in USA? He was terminally ill for a long time. Anyway thanks and sorry for raving. Junior's widow will be on FS soon to share some more of her funny stories.

Heh, heh, heh. A good ol' Aussie yarn here, my friend! Some of your sentence constructions are a little informal, but they somehow suit the tone of this piece. Perhaps just this: 'It was time for dinner; time to eat some of the prize catch.'

Thanks for the smile, Sankey.
Anthony.

thanks mate will look into it. The widow of the gent concerned here is joining FS so I am sure Dot will have a lot more of these interesting stories to share. Not Aussie by the way he was a Redneck ok! I put a story about Energy in Hugs that has been embraced by the FS community if you look around if you have not already seen it ok! Thanks again.

A fun story - I guess home remedies aren't always the best. LOL Sounds like the kind of story these men will be telling at campfires and reunions for the rest of their lives :-) Brooke

There's a story with a beginning, middle and END Indeed!! That's too funny... well, for all of us anyway. Oh that had to be the worst. Well, it could have been a cook out in the desert with no lake. That's worse. Great story. Been on the front page all day. Good to see what appeals to this crowd. Hahaha. mikey

Yeah well I am ticled to death mate the lady whose husband this is all about is coming to FS at my invitation she is gonna join up she has a worth of great stories to share with us. Dear Howard (known as Junior to most of us) is now with the Lord for several years. Every time I watch Pelican Brief (another great John Grisham story he don't do em like this anymore :( ) I think of Dot and Junior who lived for many years near Lake Charles in La where that movie is centered. Thanks for the great review. I hit a nail on the head what!

Good story with a good picture to make it complete. I can feel for old Howard, I have had some problems like that, and it sure isn't funny. Another good job with a short story.
