"He had just come indoors to have a cup of tea with Mummy Mouse,..." --When I saw this story had a walking, talking mummy in it, I thought, Heck yeah, this is my kind of story!. Imagine the look of bewilderment on my face when I realized that we were talking about the British slang for mother here, Sandra. As in (Mom) Mum... Oh well.
Howsever, this well written story of the adventures of the Hedgerow gang hits the mark ass pertains to young children, for whom it is intended. It is fun, full of frolicking adventure (without being overtly scary), and most definitely is publish worthy. We went camping a great deal when we were kids, with our parents, so that made all of their antics and adventures all the more fun for me.

What a sweet, happy tale of some friends just having fun together. No villains trying to attack them (except for a few ghosts in harmless stories)... just good clean fun that little kids could imagine well as they listen or read. Nice to see an old-fashioned feel-good kids' story again. :)

I am now in my childhood whilst reading your Hedgerow campers. The illustrations are not bad - showed up quite well. I think children could relate to this - as youngsters, we too went camping and sightseeing. These days the kids are glued to a DVD screen in the car. Basically, you have replaced children with animals and they are having great fun. I liked your new tale.
