Hi, Debra.
What a wonderful poem. You expressed the feeling of sadness and frustration so well. As I read through each verse I nodded, remembering how I felt after the birth of my second child. He was colicky and screamed for the first five months, 20 hours a day. You shared the words, "useless mother, good for nothing," which I felt so strongly without an understanding of why. I, too, hid my feelings, and feared I was losing it. This does pass, and now my son is 18, happy and well adjusted. I, too, have never experienced such blues since that time.
Thanks again for creating the contest. This has been such a fun experience.

H Rosalyne :) Thank you so very much for your wonderful feedback. I really do appreciate your empathy - it was a sad and lonely time. I felt robbed in a way ... Ben is almost 9yrs old now! I also have 2 daughters aged 6 and 3. I didn't experience PND after either of them were born. Thanks also for your good luck wishes! Kindest regards, Debra :)
