Dear Spiritual Echo: Many thanks for this beautiful memory of Pete Seeger who was my inspiration also to start my own folk trio and spend my life writing songs. He was a genius but a man of courage and character...sooo very rare in our world today. Thanks for writing this and I'm so sorry to not have a six to honor you further. HIS GRAYNESS: Vance

thanks Vance. The days of jamming have some special moments that I still cherish.

This was a really thought provoking piece. It really brought to light a lot of things that I had never thought of and new things to google and look up. Thanks for the interesting read.

The PBS concert was the inspiration to go down memory lane.

I loved the almost poetic/essay about Pete Seeger. I love his music and his legacy will live on. I think this was well written. Don and Vicki

Thanks for sharing the impact and memory.

A wonderful glimpse into a time when America was turmoil and yet stood together strong. Pete Seeger put the moods (good and bad) and optimism into a song to be sung as a nation. Americana personified. Bravo. Judester

You know the source, good for you. Before I heard the music, I had no idea.

Well you've hit a chord (pardon the pun) with me here with this one. I remember singing "Where Have All the Flowers Gone" in a school choir - and it was considered a daring choice for a private all-girl school! How far we've come - thank goodness for talented wordsmiths such as Pete! Nice personal view of a retrospective!
