strong rhymes in good limerick format
twas tucked - I would eliminate "up" for better cadence/limerick inflection
good alliteration in large, lovely lady

    Hi Brooke, thank you for your great feedback and suggestion re the last line - I had been fighting with it (without winning!) to get it to 9 syllable count and the solution was right in front of me - thank you for opening my eyes! Kindest regards as always, Debra :)

A large, lovely lady named Nellie
once lost the remote for her telly.
She was rather impressed
when that night she undressed;
'twas tucked up in the folds of her belly.

Ahahaha it is indeed a good laugh for the morning!

Or this one made me laugh a lot and I enjoyed this very much.
An excellent composition and Limerick which was sustained and written very well and very much easier to read. Thank you so much for sharing and posting your work for everyone. May you have and/or fine peace always.

Well goodness me! Doesn't that just go to show that the remote is better kept in the hands of the man of the house? Or was it in his hands when he fumbled, I wonder? Delightful limerick!

This one places a whole lot of images in the bind. Certainly has me sitting here with a Cheshire Cat grin on my face. I wish you luck in the contest - Dinah

Hahaha!

Top flow and rhymes, plus the LOL last line gag make this an excellent limerick that deserves to contend in the contest, Debs.

Good luck, Ted

Hi Debs, I had to give this a six cos it cracked me up. It's well written and flows like a limerick should. It has strong imagery and is very comical. Love it and good luck with this in the contest. Big huggies from Maggy. xxxxx

I love the picture. I love poem. I did not take offense. When looking for a lost remote you have to look in the least likely places. I have found them in the bathroom and even in the car. Great work.
