Very cleverly done. I love that Columbo is the detective,
The dialogue was right on.
Very humorous story/poem that turns the original
on its head. Most enjoyable read.
Good luck in the contest.

Thank you, Nancyjam. I am so pleased that you enjoyed this story poem. I do like Columbo. Maybe it's just the fact that he always knows who did it and then just figures out how to trip them up. And he has so much fun doing it.
Thanks for the good luck wishes. I appreciate the encouragement. Debi

Hi w.j.debi,

I'm sure Peter Falk would be flattered at the manner you've woven his fictional Lt Colombo into your poetic story.

I found it amusing, and a good read. Alas, the evidence may soon have been consumed ...

Thank you, Patrick. I am flattered that you think Mr. Falk would have liked it. I am pleased you enjoyed reading this story poem and found it amusing. And who knows?with Columbo maybe he wasn't going to eat it. Maybe he was asking them to hand over the evidence. He is always so tricky when he catches the murders.

Now, this I love. It's just such a turn around about the Wolf and the pig. Then enters Lieutenant Columbo (I can see him now). WOW! You should share this one on facebook for others to enjoy. I'm sure they would... chowchow

Reminds me of the movie fried green tomatoes. Good skit into poetry. Peter Faulk was great in the Colombo sires. Well done poet. Best to you in the contest.

This one was a fun poem to visualize. I love Columbo and just seeing him in his raincoat, talking to Mrs. White from Clue and the wolf was hysterical. I liked the rhyming and the dialogue woven in. Great poem.

Haha. Very funny and we all know Columbo always comes back with, "Oh, just one more thing before I go and that is the question that lets them know he is onto their little scheme.
A well written poem in iambic pentameter and aabb rhyme that should do well in the contest. Good luck. Nancy

Thank you, Honeycomb. Yes, Columbo has his famous "I gotcha line." When he says it, you know he has caught the murderer and they have no way out. I love that moment. Thank you so much for your analysis, good luck wishes and encouraging comments. Debi
