This is a good poem, I really enjoyed it! I believe that they do know we are there and they know the trees are breathing! You do have a gift for poems and as it turns out stories to!

This is so beautiful. A lot of us will be visiting at our Mothers graves today placing flowers there for them. I always wonder if they know that we are there. Sara :)

What a pretty tribute to mothers. Your words flow well as you think of moms that have left this earth but are never forgotten. A heart felt poem my friend. God bless you for sharing with us.

A simply wonderful dedication to your mother and all our mothers who have passed and trying to put ourselves in their proverbial shoes, well done!

I always like to put "layers" in poetry, Opal ... in this one, my question I leave you with would probably be ... can she see me? is her spirit close? (My own mother is still alive & kicking by the way - but I often feel like this about my dad, who died many years ago).

Worth the stars just for the last lines alone: "do they love the trees?
and can they hear them breathe?" - beautiful, touching and lovely. Has your own mother now passed on, Sharyn? Incidentally, mother's day was ages ago in the UK and all these reference to it on here confused the hell out of me, so much so that I almost sent my mum another card.

Well THAT would explain why my son in the UK hasn't called me today!! GRRR! Actually my own mother is very much alive and kicking, but I DO feel this way about my dad, who died more than 20 years ago - I adored him, and still feel him with me sometimes, even though I have trouble now remembering his face ...
Thank you so very much for the lovely sixer on this one!
Blessings,
Sharyn

Your mother I think died, but this poem about graveyards honours her so well. I think they might feel us visiting them at the grave.

I hope they do, Ine - I really do. Actually my mother is still alive, but I do feel this way about my dad, who died many years ago - and I still feel him with me sometimes ... so I always wonder ...
Bless you for your lovely six on this one my dear - so much appreciated!
Best wishes
Sharyn
