You have done a wonderful job conveying the image of a beautiful evening of anticipation of love's embrace. I enjoyed this one very much.

This is a very lovely free verse, Sharon, and sets a romantic and beautiful scene. The ambiance is one of quiet contentment. Nicely done.

Hi Sharyn,
thought you might have been channeling Wordsworth here and I even spoke it aloud in his voice. Beautiful imagery, but someone shut those bloody animals up, I'm trying to sleep!
Thank you for this free verse, you actually took me on a virtual journey.
Kindest thoughts,
James xx

Oh simply divine Sharyn. I wish once again I could give this the rating it deserves.
I has everything a good poem needs, and read aloud it is just right. You have wonderful imagery here, I close my eyes and am transported to our beachside condo.
When I read it aloud it was sooo good, but this line particularly, with it's perfect alliteration sounded oh so beautiful:
across the slim sharp saber of the moon's calm
Thank you for sharing.

Very nice! I love reading this. I loved the descriptions of things going on outside. I could almost image the sounds. I loved the picture you chose for this piece. Great Job!

Ah yes, Chocolate breath ... to die for ...remember when it was perfume? I gather we are not talking about newlyweds here?
I suppose the mood is broken if one wants marshmallow in his/her hot chocolate and has to get up and get it? :) Very pretty nevertheless ...

now now, you behave yourself! Who are you to criticize?? We now know - OFFICIALLY - that you write the WORST POETRY IN THE WORLD, right???? :)

I knew this review would come back to haunt me. You just can't STAND to be second even if it's second worst! LOL
-
no, no precious, I HAPPILY concede that title to you!!! It will give you a base for your swelled head so you can keep writing your nasty Archie Bunker prose downing the ladies!
