love the "inspired." Seems a lot about muses this past month while mine lay sleeping someplace. " But I really think God
Blessed me with this gift." I believe that also. I truly can't see it coming directly from me.

Simply awesome piece of poetry that tells about the inside of a poet !! The words chosen by the poet are praiseworthy which create an atmosphere of peace and give rise to pondering over serious thoughts ! The title is well portrayed by the poet and the poet very sucessfully ends the poem with the word "Inspired" ! A poem that is managed very well with use of simple words and deserves great praise! The poem has deep thoughts, and is interesting to read from the first word to the last !!

An inspiration is in everything we sees in our daily lives. Under the skies there is inspiration all around us that even the blind can see it, the deaf can hear it and the dumbfounded can feel it. When we lose ourselves at times and burdened with many twists and turns..we lost sight of all inspirations, hear no more of inspirations or spoke confidently with inspiration. As poets we can write to inspire or to highlight life's misgivings, terror, hope, joy and so much more. Inspiration is just one part of poetry. The beauty of life and the dark shadows we must never hide and be bold to write. Cheers. Good write with wonderful expressions of thoughts.

HI Carol,
We are all learning here..as posted in the poem "Ancora Imparo - I am still learning". Everyone has beautiful insights and by sharing we become stronger and more resilient as poets.
Have a wonderful brand new 2013. Happy Holidays and on the way to a happy journey. Joy - full and merry on Christmas day! Cheers. Ritchiesszzky.

Inspiration comes from many places...from sights and sounds, from memories and whispers from within.
Writers write inspired by memories and voices around...
"That poetry....Like A butterfly
Flits and floats
Within my head " Exactly

And there you have the key - "inspired" - how joyous it is to write when inspiration is there - and how difficult it is to write if it is not! Well penned! and my lots of inspiration come your way for the New Year!
Best wishes

It seems you have an endless well steam of sources from which you gain your inspiration to write. I like how you give God the credit for your talent. This is an excellent piece of writing.

Within my head - I couldn't agree more; my best pieces out come when I'm inspired. But, sometimes that inspiration comes at a price I don't wish to pay.
Because all good things come from God
Now you get my drift - maybe it does; you must be a very devoted person.
Decent, loving fun
But most of all
'Inspired'- that's the key word; inspired :).

Well, this is a terrific poem about inspiration and the "gift" that you have as a writer. You have great imagery and rhyme with this, and I do understand the sentiment behind the piece. I just don't agree with it very much. I've always frowned at terms like "talent" or "gift" when it comes to my work. (For me, nothing could be further from the truth.) It took thousands of work hours to get where I am, and it will take thousands more to get me where I want to be as a writer. Anyone can put in the hours. Anyone can do it. After all, we reap what we sow, right?
For me, calling my hard, HARD work a talent or gift insults my efforts.
Still, I enjoyed the poem.

Thank you Mr. Baldwin, I appreciate your comments and I agree with you. Writing poetry is work but it is so enjoyable it dos'nt feel like it is. I edited textbooks for years and reviewed curriculum and lesson plans. That was work also. I'm glad you enjoyed the poem. Best wishes to you always. Carol
