no fiercesome viper, no Pied Piper needed FANTASTIC line!!
Slowing down to think. Aye, there's the rub. Thank and act and hold civil discourse We all have a vote and should use it wisely.
I really loved this
Thank you

Great poem...the flow and format go very well together...also some ver deep thoughts here! It seems to me that we (unfortunately) let so much of this glance over our heads because we live in a culture of entitlements. Thanks for sharing!

your internal rhyming gives this the feel of slam poetry - I like the pacing and the strong beat
excellent political/social commentary with a bite
good alliteration in gravity and greed
I love the line about little brains
more excellent alliteration in your final stanza along with effective imagery :-) Brooke

I absolutely LOVE this poem! It reminds me of my own passionate tirades while watchng or reading anything to do with President Obama. He blames everything and everyone for what HE has created through false promises, lies and lack of leadership. I PRAY there is a change. Thanks for this rant. Sue

Nice, very nice. I've never read Slam poetry before, but even without that experience, this poem has a fast feel to it in the beginning, but, as you said, seem to slow down as you reached the end. Great job and thanks for sharing.

Wonderful it is!
So full of life, rage, irony and simmering questions!
A very well-thought of poem,
so well-penned!
The election time is here again.
Yes, the Obama is loved and hated both.
Lets see!

This is a robust and arresting piece that I would love to see preformed. I love the sections that had only one word to a line, it was a perfect way to execute a strong point.
This section:
but that swimming sleaze crawls, leaking
cracking through my dyke
prising it apart, barb by barb
until I can harbor
nothing
was my favorite stanza by far...good word choices, very aggressive.
