Like the way you describe the soul as what makes life worth living. A soul radiates love, hope, forgiveness, and joy. The soul is tender of heart and reaches out to those in pain and sorrow. The soul is the part of us where our Creator resides. It is the bridge for God to humanity.

Lovely ideas in this excellent entry, Realist. You also mention kittens, and why shouldn't they have souls too. I don't see why us pesky humans should have exclusivity. Mind you...now I'm wondering. What about flys and cockroaches etc. Hmm... ;-)
Good luck and best wishes, earl

Now, Earl! Dang it. I have to wonder ... this is why I question the powers that be. It's just too much for my pea brain to comprehend! lol! Thank you for a fun and thoughtful/thought provoking review! Susan

No probs, Susan. Eh...what about reviewers who give me 3 stars? Huh! - they've no chance. ;-) x
-
Oh dear! I've had my share of those! lol! At least they reviewed for you...I'm so far behind it's pathetic...I'm cleaning my old house today, and contemplating bug bombing for spiders. NOW, I'm worried they may have a soul...What are we supposed to do? There are so many, there is NO way I can just capture them and take them outside! Darn you EARL!! Hug. S.

You're CRAZY, Susan, but that's good! LOL x

I have no retort...LOL! :) s.

Wonderful way of using the sun as a vehicle and symbol of light and the idea of transferance. Souls lost in the light are better than those lost in darkness. I'd rather be blinded by the light. As always very timely descriptive phrases. Stan

It is not at all easy to make this into a very short poem. Think it might have been easier for a poem. But I liked it a lot. Loved how you also put in the kittens eyes-LOL. Best wishes for the prompt.

Well said, except I don't believe the soul ever dies, girl. Maybe the rest of us but our soul live one forever and will be there when the next round starts .... whenever and wherever that may be.

Really nice, Suse. Part poem, part prose, but
every bit the truth. Though I'm not sure life is a fantasy.
I think it's just complicated. A lot of your themes are wrapped up in this piece, Suse. I hope you are receiving your own message. Great work.
Peace, Lee

HI! Realist101.Your poetic description of "SOUL" is the nearest that I have ever read, to the perfect understanding of something that is so intangible, but which everyone possesses.I found this work, truly remarkable, and it really brightened my day,it is so encouraging. Thanks for sharing. wiljacro.
