I really loved this poem. It speaks to me as well being someone that constantly feels the walls of life closing around me. Everything you spoke on in this poem was excellent. The only thing I got hung up on was the last line. I think you could go without the comma and question mark and simply say 'why'. Just a matter of opinion though. Overall great poem!

I was surprised that so many of you have similar feelings to me, I shouldn't be though, as we are all struggling with everyday pitfalls at the moment. I have got to practice what I preach and look around at the possitive things in my life. I think I will go with your suggestion, and change the way I have written, 'why'. much more than "just a little something."

The artwork representing "so much beauty all around?"

I like the tercet format and the aaa rhyming pattern.

You may wish to consider this for edit:

Thank you so much, Duane! I must have been the only one not to have noticed my 'to-too' mistake!! I have changed it now. I really don't know what I would do without my extra eyes, especially when I am doing my childrens poems. I am really pleased you liked this one, thank you! xsx

My answer is yes to almost every one of these questions. For some unknown reason, it reminded me of how my mother would tell me to drown my sorrows and not give them swimming lessons. This was beautiful to read and the only thing I would add is that time passes 'too' fast and not 'to' fast. I hate pointing that out as the rest is a joy to read.

Ahh , our mothers were certainly wise, weren't they! I have never heard that expression, but I know I will remember it! I have changed the 'to -too' now, I never noticed it, and of course the spell check wouldn't pick it up either. Thank you for the lovely review, and I am so pleased you enjoyed it. xsx

Very good. Beautiful artwork you chose also. And I love the background color. Your poem is well written, has great rhyme and it is s true. Life is just ups and downs and it is really how we deal with it, because as you know, it does not last. There is so much beauty all around us. All the feelings we have at different times are just human nature. Very nicely done.
