I enjoyed the emotions expressed in the lines. They seem genuine and deeply felt.
While I Am not a big fan of rhyming poetry, you do an excellent job with it.

Nice writing. Good rhyme, good meter. Story line is clear, however subject can be misunderstood as no clear definition was given to 'him'. 'Him' could be a boyfriend, husband, lover, or our Dear Lord God. Pick one. That is the only viewpoint flaw I could find and I do not feel that is enough to give a lesser rating. The overall poem is good. Thank you.
