I loved how it flowed and touched my heart with the love you still have for your mom. You have a special way with words and the poem was excellent.

There's no need to move on to write about different topics if you don't want to. I can't imagine a life without my mother. Yours sounds like a beautiful person, full of wisdom, strength, and the kind of love that only a mother can have. This is a beautiful piece of poetry and you deserve recognition for it. It's a lovely tribute to a special person.

God bless you! I'm so glad you liked it. Before I joined Fan Story, it had gotten to the point where I was only writing poems if I lost someone. Since i joined, I've been able to break out of that and write about humorous stuff as well. And, yes, my Mom was as beautiful as they come:) Thank you again!

What a beautiful tribute to your mother. Thank you for sharing and feel free, as far as I'm concerned, to continue with such well-written poems no matter what the subject may be.
This poem flowed with a crystal clearness, tugging at the heart strings while engendering a twing of jealousy, I'm sure, in those who didn't have such a joyous life with their parent(s).
This was not a piece of sadness, but trembling words of joy and appreciation to the One who made your life with your mother possible.
Joyously done.

Wonderful sentiment and poem. I don't think you should move on until you feel really ready to move on. Some of us didn't have this experience with a mother and it's so great to live it through others. Keep posting your poems about your mom I totally enjoy them and get a great surge from them. Keep writing. Geneva

God bless you! Until I joined Fan Story, I got to where I was only writing poems when I lost someone. Since I joined, I've been able to write in the good times as well. Thank you again for this sweet review!

Whoa!
I love it.
If I had a 6 star to give you, I would.
Love the message.
What a wonderful tribute to your Mom.
Heartfelt.
Powerful.
I can see why you placed in the Poem of the Month.
Love the rhymes.
Nice flow.
Nice rhythms and sounds.
And you capture so well what a gift a Mom is.
Congratulations.
And nice to meet you. And welcome to fanstory. I hope we'll get to know each other, and each other's work.

God bless you, Kathryn! It's the thought that counts. Just knowing you wanted to give it 6 stars means just as much to me as if you did:) Nice to meet you too! Thank you again for this sweet review!

This is so very beautiful, Suzie Q! I love it and you have managed to get my tears flowing early today.
I cannot imagine what being without my mother would be like. My heart goes out to you.

God bless you! Thank you so much! I'm so touched that you liked it that much. Yes, if it wasn't for the grace of God, I would've never made it all these years without her. Thank you again!

I like that you describe your mom in such warm and glowing words. And the art and color scheme fit your words. So often pastels of pink or lavender are used to eulogize perhaps because they are soft colors. Yet you use vibrant and living colors. Well done. I wish you well in the Poem of the Month competition.

Thank you so much! She was the best so it was easy to pay tribute to her. I'm glad you had the same kind of Mama. Your review's got me choked up. God bless you!

Your poem is original and conveys a genuine feeling of adoration for one's mother. It is not easy to experience such a great loss. Pain can often sublimate in great creations.
