Pupa,
Fix "bear" you mean (bare)
I love your poem. It says so much about the troubles and tribulations we bring unto ourselves and then wonder why we are facing such stress.
This poem reminds me of the last lines to the movie I Heart Huckabees. They are going to chain themselves to some fence in protest and one character asks another "Do we bring our own chains?" And the response is "We always do."

Clinical but well stated. My own background has depressive episodes so if yours is some of the same I can well relate to this poem. As a "pupa' I hope you will continue to emerge. Thank you.

It is a wise person who can admit when they are the cause of their own troubles! I like this poem, which has a nice flow, and I like the unusual way you write here - addressing the chains in a letter. Lovely!

Really good poem. It's true we often cause ourselves pain and misery by not trusting in ourself. Sometimes I think we just sell ourselves way too short.
Thanks. I enjoyed this.

This is well written. I could just feel your feeling of being chained up and struggling to break free. You really have a gift for writing. Be blessed, Jude

Pupa,
I liked your poem and letter very much. I often feel the same way about things in my life that I know I have the power to change but something holds me back. Your writing today is very meaningful and powerful.
I few spots to consider:
"take off your loads of deep blues.(,)"
"Then bear(bare) foot"
"regain my lost will power. (willpower)"
Good job, my friend! Not only in the writing but in the realizations!!
Thanks for sharing this with me.
