Hi Sis, this rather sad poem, is filled totally with passion and emotion. The chill of the mother's cries, the word "goodbye". All so finalising, and daunting. And the comparison of ' sweet warmth ' just accentuates the feelings throughout the lines. well done and extrememly powerful words. Hugs to my big sis, luv little sis.

My little boy was touching my heart while I sat up late New Year's Eve....thus the poem exploded out of me and here it is...Thanks for understanding the love and the pain inside it. Smiles, Sis

I loved this contest entry. The presentation is well done and the few words convey exactly how a mother feels at the loss of a son as result of war.
Well written. Best wishes for the contest. luv jada

It was easy to get the emotions for this one and the picture just added a lot of power to the poem. Carol

Hi Carol,
This is a very sad and touching cinquain about a mother who lost a child. I know the feelings are very real to you and the pain still lingers but I also know God is continuing to comfort you and strengthen you. Best wishes in the contest and Happy New Year to you!

Wow, Carol. What a moving poem. The loss of a child ... from a baby to an adult ... will always cause a mother to be forever asking why. There's never an answer, but you just can't help to ask to know the reason.

Hi again, Carol, this has MUCH meaning, for so little words, they speak volumes...an end to war, a mother's loss. Very good, and the picture is perfect too. Your friend, Susan

Your words and your About Begin Again cut to the heart of this mother and grandmother. I try each day to grow closer to the Lord, yet wonder if I could stand the heartbreak of losing a family member. May this coming year bring you many blessings.
