I confess, I love dandelions, as a child I use to collect them and give them to my mother. I love that you chose this flower for the contest, creative and unique.

Brooke - Lovely quatrain about the dandelion. I almost chose this flower myself! Only because it is the flower that Beaux Jack is smelling in one of my favorite pictues of him that inspired him to head off on a walk one day. It is a much maligned flower that you have decided to elevate. And, I applaud you for that! Sue

Thank you, Sue. I'm so glad you are a fellow dandelion fan - and yes, much maligned it is - people pay hundreds of bucks to have it massacred! :-) Brooke

This is my favorite poetic form and you have mastered it quite well. The color scheme and photo bring to mind sunshine and a field of wildflowers. Excellent form and flow, natural rhymes, great word choices especially in the second stanza. Wonderful job! Best wishes in the contest.
hugs,
Diane

Who cares that most people think of it as a weed? It's a wonderful spring flower and its seeds are always a joy to watch dancing in the spring wind. I loved your poem, Brooke. You picked a great flower!
