This is one of the precious moments in life, which will not be forgotten all your life. Good for you to immortalize it in this touching haiku, Carol...

Thank you for understanding how important that moment in time was to me and Johnny. God didn't give up on him like the doctors did. Carol

This haiku was emotionally gripping. It made me cry. Your words were so honest and heart wrenching. I can't even imagine being in that circumstance. You so are blessed and he so lucky to have you and to have lived. Thanks for sharing and good luck to you!

It's a moment in time that I would not wish on anyone. The doctors gave up on my son...I will be forever thankful that God had other plans. Smiles, CArol

God does answer prayers. After my son was born, I prayed and prayed God would heal his heart. Michael showed some improvement, but when the doctor started describing what would need to been done, my prayers changed for God to do his will. Michael died.

Nice work! Three lines, 5, 7, 5 syllable count. Sparing the life of a child is indeed a sweet blessing. The artwork is so tender; trusting.

Carol, I love this little poem packed with a very big message, God listens
to us, even though sometimes we think he is taking a day off.

Stunning haiku! There is no sweet blessings than
a baby that lived; through Divine Grace and fervent
prayer by s mother that believed and trusted where
mortal hope gave up; and spiritual trust soared.
Happy for you and your precious son; and such
a profound way to convey so much in thos select words.

This must have been difficult for you, I have two children so understand. God definitely hears a Mother's prayer first, I believe that, and He certainly answered yours. God bless!

Hello Begin Again,
A haiku full of hope. This poem reads and flows well and I have no suggestion for improvement.
Good luck with the contest.
