You make a very good point with this excellent essay. Yes we are created equal, but some societies do not allow this to continue.
It seem to me when we compare the racist and sexual equality movements, the sexual equality side is decades behind.
It can never be the same, because the level of mistrust between the genders is greater than racial differences. It can be argued logically and correctly - no matter the skin colour we are all the same -- humans. But that can never be true between the sexes because we are different - it is supposed to be that way.
The divide is too great, we need to do a lot more work to overcome this -- hopefully it will happen -- Like races we must learn to trust each other, not abuse our strengths and weaknesses, recognise our differences and learn to live with them. A big ask, but one day we just might do it.

This is a very clear and concise commentary on the subject. I looked at this contest and chickened out - I couldn't think of anything definitive and clear to say. But you have done that, and I think your last sentence sums it up: "There may be a male and female experience, but not a male and female disparity". Good luck with the contest. :)

If I had to answer from that perspective, I don't think I could answer the way you have. It's a hard subject to grapple with, depending on the true meaning of the question.

time for the woman to be recognized as a person not
a servant to man. She finally can speak her mind and
not be afraid of ridicule. She doesn't have to depend
on a man to take care of her.
