I believe sibling should support each other and not get involved in petty jealousy. The only observation I can remark on is your first line. I do not like it ending wit "so". Very well written with good imagery and descriptive scheme.

Bravo!! I never had a sister, or a daughter or a granddaughter!!! This is a fabulous tribute to a sister you obviously adore. Treasure the relationship for always.
Lovely piece Sue.

Awww, what a great poem! I have four sisters, and we all have that kind of bond, no matter what we've been through. And we've been through a lot! LOL

Thanks for sharing this beautifully written poem with us. Cheers!

Jaela, so glad to hear you have four sisters and you all are so close. That's wonderful! I can just see the buzz going around when one sister says one thing or needs something, then the phone starts to make the rounds! HA! Thanks so much for your lovely and kind review. Sue

We've always been so close. Was thinking about her in that light and thought I'd write about it. Thanks so much for your lovely review. Sue

Sue, my girls are 17 mos. apart and though they fight like crazy at times, I am finally seeing glimmers of hope that they will indeed be close when they're grown and out from under my mandate to be 'best friends.' Your piece depicts my own hope, and I am rejoicing with you and yours for the blessing you share. :) Did you give it to Deb?

No, I haven't shown it to her yet. Will show her when she comes over today. She'll probably cry! We're both that way. Ha! You do have hope for your daughters. How old are they now? Thanks so much for your lovely review. Sue :-))

My sister died in 2004. Your poem brought back memories of the bond that can only be shared by siblings.

Yes, a bond that can only be shared by siblings.

I am so sorry to hear this very sad news from you. She must have been very young. And that makes it all the more sad and difficult.

    She was 30.

I loved this. You are so lucky to have a sister that is so close to you. I found nothing that needs correcting. The rhythm is great. I read it aloud and it flowed smoothly. The rhyme is great. This is very well written. Good Job! :)

Next ty daughter, my three 'little' sisters are my best feiends and loving comfort, so I can sure empathise.

'Our love is unconditional...there is no, "it depends"' -
Wonderful line!

Ray, so good to hear you say your sisters are your best friends, also. Of course, it goes without saying that our children are #1, but how lucky are we that we have strong ties with our siblings? Thanks so much for saying you really liked that line! And for your great review. Big hugs, Sue

This one brought a tear to my eye. What a beautiful dedication to your sister. I hope you show it to her. Your words are full of love and it's clear how much you adore her. I would so love to have a sister. I just have one brother and we're very close but it's not quite the same. A wonderful poem.

Hugs

Roisin

Roisin, yes, we have been so fortunate to have each other. Very odd...even as young girls, we never fought and always needed each other. And I don't take it for granted. Thanks for your lovely review...With much affection, Sue
