I like the way you remind (gently) the reader of the one who gave penance in the ending lines, which can be a reminder of having been forgiven our own debts by other people, or by God. Good one. :)

Terrific little rictameter. Correct in its syllabics and nicely shaped. I really like the artwork, wouldn't mind playing on the arched bridge - beautiful.

The picture, the colors and your words they all flow to the source, Great writing and I enjoyed your every line. Cheers. I want to be able to use some of my own pieces more fully when I share at speaking engagement, so I am doing more of my own art and photo work. The folks at retirement homes love the pictures the best. Don

Don, I love how you give your time to those people who are in need of creative input. Yes, I can imagine they would love all the visuals. Must be very gratifying for you, also. Thanks for your review. Best to you, Sue

Yesterday was fun. I took my wife and daughter to the mall near where I was going to speak. When I arrived, two ladies walked up to me and started looking at my pictures and asked if they could peek at some of my work ahead of time. I laughed and said sure. The colored pictures drew them up. Cheers, Don

Reggie, you mean you aren't mad that I wrote in a weird name called "rictameter"? HA!! Glad you liked it. Thanks for your review. :-)) Sue

You do like this form, don't you. Me too! You've done a great job hear and covered a lot of territory in so few words. Very soothing presentation. Love it.

Jason's fault. He got me hooked! Looks like it's confining, yet there is a feeling of freedom in writing them. Thanks so much for reading, Marcia. Always appreciate your reviews. :-)) Sue

You always write with such finesse. I wish I could crank poetry this fast and with such wonderful style. I like the subject you chose for this poem, and you've got great structure. Five stars for you! LOL Cheers!

This was very well written and the artwork was beautiful. We have to do penance to truly forgive those who have hurt us. Nice flow and rhythm to your poem.

I do feel strongly about this. As, lack of forgiveness (as tough as it can be sometimes), does release us. Thanks so much for your very kind review and compliments. :-)) Sue

Sums up the word very well. I think if more people forgave themselves they might find that they can get through life a little easier. Me, I do have a lot of guilt right now, maybe one of these days I'll get over it. Great job!

We all carry guilt. I'm guilty! HA! When we get rid of one, another comes along. It's something we have to work on everyday, isn't it? Thanks for sharing your own feelings on this. And for your great review. :-)) Sue
