How nice, sounds like an average day for a lot of people. I, too, do my best thinking when I'm drinking anything with caffeine in it. Your poem flowed nicely and was a very fun read, I enjoyed it. Thank you for sharing :)

A beautiful average day registered in a fun way in verses that flow smoothly and with gaiety. I'm sure there's a lot more not covered by the poetic flush ( or fluff) but it's interesting that with 'Just a glass or two, there's no need to dine'. A point to ponder: you do your best thinking when
you're drinking - coffee or the regular? Lol. Love the poem.

My days always include morning and afternoon coffee; they often include a glass of wine at night--never more than two! I suppose my best thinking beverage depends on the subject. lol. I appreciate the generous review and enjoyed the chat. ann

Hi Ann, an original idea though I'd substitute 'bottle' for 'glass' personally. Clever rhyme scheme though found myself backchecking to make sure you kept to it, ok I'm wierd. They all look better after a glass or too though I'm sure you didn't mean that, lol, Ray xx

This is simply brilliant. It's quite erotic to in it's own way, but I love the counterpoint effect of each last line in the stanzas. Superbly well crafted and I totally admire how you have done that.
A poem with a wink and a drink just has to be excellent.
You are a very fine writer in my humble opinion.

"Attired, alert and in [an] office mode" I recommend omitting [ ]
