Hi Jewell,
Love & Peace
What a wonderful piece
it tells about the bliss
henceforth that you'll never miss.
Key to peace of mind
there remains love to find
as I read this, your words did really bind
me with threads of love and peace so kind,
shown a path of peace to us who are blind.
I really loved this peace like anything and everything.
Thank you for sharing.
Gautam :)

Fabulous Jewell. It's a captivating piece that just says so much about the root of true love. It has to come from a person who feels whole and from within to be shared with others. Beautifully written, rhymed and versed. Well done

You have a way with words that always offers promise to anyone regardless of the appearance of any given situation.
Yet another well written piece of work.

I feel that the self reflection of your poetry is so important. We can not love others until we love ourselves. And only through the God of our understanding can we know we are loved unconditionally and therefore we find that peace in ourselves which prepares us to love someone else. But beware loving another takes allot of compromising and is not always great. But for those few precious moments in love with another I could live a lifetime. Thank you so much for reminding me that I am a child of God and what that truly means to me deep in my soul. Excellent work my friend!

Wow, I surely am honored that you would leave me such a wonderful review. The six stars do not outshine the fact that it caused some self reflection and this is what matters most to me. God bless! Jj

"It's not from man you'll find release,
Love will come when you find peace."
This is absolutely beautiful...perfection - in rhyme, meter, flow, message and meaning...full of insight and passion. We must all love ourselves for if we don't - we don't know love...no truer words than these...you've penned an awesome piece...and I appreciate your thoughts so vividly expressed in these words...great job...take care..brenda

I didn't feel it if it was.....though I do read for content and passion in the write a lot more than rhyme and meter....:)

Hello Beautiful,
Another beauty from your pen. What a stunning picture to set off your wonderful verse. I especially like the story format!
Before my eyes I saw a door
Opened wide above the shore.
It glistened in reflections bright
And from it poured revealing light.
A gilded key was in my hand,
As if I'd opened heavens grand,
Lovely. Have a great evening, Sweet Jewell.

Sweet friend, is there any meter that needs fixing? I rarely do meter you know. I appreciate your very sweet review and kind words, along with your constant support.
Hello dear friend, I found the read very smooth and beautifully rhymed. Did someone mention a problem with the meter?
The only line I found that read slightly rocky was the last one in this couplet:
I first must love myself discreetly,
To love human kind completely.
You may want to play with it a bit or just leave it alone...

Hullo VisionaryPoet777 ....
It was a pleasure to read this because you have good
rhyming throughout as well as a pleasant rhythm due to
your regular metre in all your lines.
There are two small changes to suggest ...
* You have - My burdens lifted at his throne .... as you
are referring to Almighty God, this should be -
at His throne.
* You have - I first must love myself discretely ....
this should be - discreetly ....
Thank you for sharing these thoughts with us.
With love from ..... Nanette Mary.
