Excellent I find your words full of imagery, as I imagine the bear rising from his hibernation and so very hungry, love watching the bears feed on the fish, on T.V. of course, very well written****kahpot

Hi Cecilia.
This is a nicely done story poem about a day in a bears life. Sounds like a good one for this bear today.
Keep writing and stay healthy.
Enjoy the rest of the week.

I love the calm flow of the poem and how it describes the brown bear as it hunts for food and finds a rest. Sounds like a story that could appeal to both children and adults. Well done, dear Cecilia for sharing this beautiful piece. Best regards

The author's words are detailed, nature based and creative. Reading
the author's description of a Bear's daily life was interesting and fun! The
poem flows and connects well. The artwork is perfect and goes well
with both the theme and words of this poem.

Bears amaze me. They look so cuddly, but I know they can be extremely dangerous. I would not want to walk up and pet one. LOL I enjoyed reading your poem. Thank you for sharing your talent with us.

What a great image in words and picture this is, Cecilia.
We don't have bears, our biggest native predators are badgers and in Scotland they have wildcats.
I would love it if we had bigger beasts around here.

    Tim,

Thank you for the wonderful review.

It's interesting you don't have bears in the U.K. I guess in a way that's a good thing though. They are quite scary.

In our national and state parks they have bear boxes. If you are tent camping this is a place to store your food. You wouldn't want one of those pesky creatures tearing your tent apart looking for food. It would be enough to piss a girl off.

    I appreciate you.

The pacing and syllable count is uneven. The best thing I was told when I first got here, was to read our poems out loud several times to here if the flow is good.

The plot of the story is fine. But, the Grammer needs some work. You would not believe how bad I was at first.

Love you too. Put away the doll with the really long pins :-)

Thanks my sweet friend. I appreciate you. We still need to get together. How are you enjoying that rotten snow right now?
reply by Karen Cherry on 09-Jan-2025
I didn't even know it snowed. Wow. Don't forget to drip all your faucets. Holey Moley! I guess I will not order my groceries today. I don't want to send any body out in this. Yikes! The stairs are covered in snow, I see accidents waiting to
    Happen. Karen

    Karen,

My son just got home from work and said the roads are horrible. He says, "They haven't been plowed" I said, "Duh, they don't have the equipment for that"

Evidently these bears are skilled fishermen and have success catching fish as they fly up stream to mate. I enjoyed your action packed post Cecilia, love Dolly x

I enjoyed reading about your Brown bear, Cecilia. The rhyming scheme is well chosen, but I would say that in the first stanza, the second and fourth line don't rhyme very well, whereas, they do in the other stanzas. Just sayin. :)

It is so rare to come across a poem about a bear and a brown bear too. Your words take the reader into the world of the bear and create a clear picture of nature. I like how he is grumpy until he finds his meal, reminds me of me when I am hungry. Excellent poetic form and a smooth flow of lines.

    Mermaids,

Thank you for the great review. I think we all get a little hangry when we are hungry. Yes, Mr. bear change his tune after he found the salmon stream. He is quite crafty when it comes to catching his food.
