I'm so sorry to read this and what a shock for poor Joan! This time of year is so difficult for the elderly, with the cold, darkness and loss of vitality. You penned a lovely, caring verse here, Debi, which I'm sure will help Joan feel supported and loved. Sincere condolences, Joan. Love Debbie

Thank you for sharing about Joan's sister's husband so we can all lift them up in prayer. We certainly need our prayer partners in devastating like this.
So sorry Joan and Ann for your loss.

Awesome poem Debi on such a tragic event. It seems like that happens a lot. People go on vacation to have a good time and someone passes unexpectedly. I really enjoyed reading this poem!

How heartbreaking... a trip tht was meant to be filled with joy ending in sadness and unsaid goodbyes. My thoughts and prayers are with Joan and the family as they face the grief and the struggles in the next days. Thank you for penning such a wonderful poem, Debi.
Smiles, Carol

Condolences to Ann's husband. It takes a lot of love to reflect on the memories of a loved one. My prayers
are with you now and the days to come. Take time to gently grieve.

Hi Debi,
So kind of you to write this poem to Joan on behalf of all Fanstory writers. This must have been an awful shock to Ann, her husband passing away while on vacation to Florida. Terrible way to return back home.
I have many friends who vacation in sunny warm Florida, escaping winter cold and snow. You never know.
Now Joan will be comforting her sister back in Illinois. I wonder if they live near each other? In any case, I'll join the rest in praying for them.
Hugs,
Kimbob

Hi Kimbob, in light of the bad news I have to share something that not many people know. Joan and I only lives about an hour apart.
So that answers your question about her living by her sister. She lives in the outskirts of the cities but I can't remember which town.
I appreciate this so much, just as I am sure Joan does as she mourns her dear brother in-law. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, dear friend.

I sent Joan a personal note. Thank you for spreading the word for us on Fan Story. Without your help, we would all be dumb as stumps. When is the eye all surgery.? I pray for the best of all outcomes. Karen

Hi Karen, how kind of you to send Joan a message.
As far as how my eye is doing, I will be seeing a special cornea surgeon on the 14th and will know more then. Besides I still have one more week left on my Oxervate. Thanks so much for your caring thoughts.

Absolutely as one who has suffered the same fate. I think if any death be pleasant, falling asleep on into death may be the most merciful. You have my complete sympathy.

Hey Sweetie, I apologize, I have been down with Covid, and I am afraid that either I worded this wrong or everyone is reading it wrong.. so just to be sure I better clarify. It was Joan's sister, Ann's husband who died. I was asking for prayers for the whole family. I should have clarified it author's note. I have now, but I did want you to know right away. Thanks so much for understanding. Love ya, Debi

A wise Bible writer famously stated that if God counted all our mistakes, no one would be able to pass. We must act like God and be forgiving of mistakes others make, so that we may be forgiven our own missteps.
